Weekend Dollhouse Project!

While visiting my sister last week she dug out a dollhouse that she had purchased a number of years ago.  Half joking, half hopeful, she says "You could put that together for me".........

The house turned out to be a "The Pierce" by Greenleaf.  So basically a 6 room dollhouse.....well........
After sorting through 20+ sheets of pieces of parts and labeling them all, I found all the foundation pieces!

I have to admit I was feeling pretty confindent.........until I found all the parts I needed for the stairs!  The directions were not great to say the least, but I pressed on......................

Over three hours later I finally had stairs!!

After the stair fiasco things really started moving along.  The second floor went up quickly and the stairs were lined into place.

Because I was doing the house for my sister, I opted not to install the windows and frames, thinking it will make her life easier to paint and paper when she is ready.
Once the front gable and porch roofs went up the house starting taking on a much more finished look.
This is the the house at the last step (putting up the last gable piece)!  Total I spent about 8.5 hours assembling the structure.  Labeling the pieces, although time consuming to do, saved a lot of time in the end.  I hope to keep you all updated in the houses progress as my sister starts to decorate!
